I am passionate about living a joy-filled life after struggling with life’s unexpected happenings!

I see light at the end of the tunnel, and I am now bold enough to use my voice to help others. I’m no Emily Dickinson; yet, my empathy and knowledge provide comfort to those on the autism journey.

This epiphany and new outlook came after my son asked, “Are you happy, Mom?”

My daughter answered before I could. “She cries because she’s had to be strong too long.”

I want to use that strength to live the life I’ve always imagined for myself and my kids. They are my muse.

I grew up in the Midwest, and there’s no other place I’d rather raise my children. My two children and I live in the Indianapolis, Indiana, area.

I enjoy planning and tracking our family’s 50-state exploration, playing board games and reading with my kids, living out my faith, teaching, eating ice cream, growing Gerbera daisies, talking with friends and family, running (or walking, depending on the day), collecting stained glass, studying dragonflies, and feasting at outdoor barbecues.

I look forward to sharing our life with you.
